Cop who survived terrorist's hatchet attack makes detective

An NYPD officer whose head was split open by a hatchet-wielding terrorist on a Queens sidewalk in 2014 is back at work on the street — with a new shield to show for it. Officer Kenneth Healey received his detective shield at Police Headquarters on Friday.
